What we do
Four ways the Chamber works for Carlsbad business.
Member services
The Carlsbad Business Journal, the member directory, and Happy Hours, First Friday Breakfasts, expos and the twice-yearly Village Street Faire.
Education
Workshops, Chamber 101 and committee programs that help members learn, lead and grow.
Partnerships
We build working partnerships with local government, schools and business groups, and help members clear hurdles on their projects.
Advocacy
Our Public Policy Guide sets out our positions. Member committees review the issues and our volunteer board acts on them.
Independent and nonpartisan
The Carlsbad Chamber is independent from government. We receive no operating funds from the City of Carlsbad or any other government agency. We work to promote or defeat legislation that affects business, and we do not advocate for or against candidates for public office.
Our people
A small staff led by President and CEO Bret Schanzenbach, and a volunteer Board of Directors drawn from the Carlsbad business community.
